Boy, I don't know how you did it Yet, you've changed me down inside You helped me find love and happiness And told me that I didn't need to hide Before you, I was a frightened girl Who wasn't recovering from the past I was still soaking in the pain That I believed was destined to last Yet, you reached for my hand And held onto me with all your might Told me there was no need to worry Because things would soon be alright At the time, I had trouble believing you And didn't think your words were true Though, here I am standing today Happy, because I made it through Because of you, a single boy so kind I finally have the proof to say That I am strong and I never give up No matter what in the future comes my way
