Towned with BaoBei vinc yesterday and did finish my hmwk while he studied for his friday paper. then played pool~ man!! he's not giving in anymore cos its what I asked for!! which is good~ cos I wanna play fair.. but bad cos I'm still really super lousy & he's really quite good!! lol~ sadly, I keep losing horribly!! lol~ but I still enjoy playing with BaoBei~ =D hehe, & with his constant tip and encouragement, hopefully i'll improve each time~ heex
ard 6+ headed to clarke quay and met with Desmond and his friends, Ron, James and Susan. dined at BON GOûT!! a Jap resturant highly recommended by Desmond. LOL~ being situated in clarke quay, I expected the price to be a little steep.. but its not!! its like average resturant pricing.. $10+ deals and what's more, it's nett price!! no GST or service charge!!
and the food is delicious!! the rice is so soft and full!! not like the normal yoshinoya kinda rice.. I love the rice a lot!! LOL~ even the seaweed stripes found on top on my teriyaki chicken had taste!! =D the chicken itself was soft.. BaoBei had pan-fried beef.. and the beef..... dun have that beefy smell that I dislike~ soft, no bloody taste although the center was little redish.. the only thing I didnt like of my set was the soup.. guess I've never liked miso soup.. =X
after our meal, had a little sake.. LOL~ my first taste of non-sweetening alcohol.. its not as bad as I expected.. since many told me, alcohol taste bitter.. LOL~ but I believe the alcohol content wasn't that high~ lol.. ooh!! had a sidedish.. some fried chicken with wasabi sauce.. at first I was like "how come everyone said their nose had sensation? I dont feel anything..." so took a little more and OMG!!! the sensation was so strong till almost teared!! LOL~ never be too ambitious with wasabi.. LOL!! thank goodness it was gone sooner that I thought..
anyhow, I love the food there!! won't mind walkin the distance and go back to the resturant again.. =) and the resturant really have that homey feeling.. it even has collections of books and magazines for customers to browse through while waiting or eating.. =) the books can be bought too!! the female owner is so cute!! and she's a Japanese!! heard the cook is a Japanese too.. =)
all in all, I enjoyed myself yesterday. the company was funny and friendly.. =) Thanks BaoBei for inviting me to join you all.. heex.. I miss you!!! though our meet ups are more frequent these days... but I'm still missing you loads and enjoying every minute with you!!!
