I saw this post on a blog regarding adults reading children books and her reason for asking about it. It was related to parental "nags". About how parents use their own experience to relate to their children current life. Not taking into account the societal, economical and environmental changes since our parents time.

Totally agree. Yet as human sometimes we tend to forget that we have to think from others point of view and what are the circumstances at that particular point in time. Some guys told me that when they're parents, they'll be protective of their daughters. Understandable, especially since they themselves are guys and they know how guys mind work. But isn't it the more you protect, the more they rebel?

Is it all boils down to communication and the values that the children are taught when they were young?? Dad told me once, when the child is young, they got to be taught the values. If not when the teenage years come and you want to teach, it's no use already. By then, parents form of communication will become "naggings". Being a parent is such tough job. What exactly is the moderate strength to hold on to your child?

Anyhow, today I've learnt that when one gets too defensive, one may lose the battle in the end. customer service is really a technique that has to be learnt and trained. And sometimes brains need to be used to resolve situations. Staff can be ignorant but their boss got to be better then what I've seen today.

Last question. Is it hard to be considerate?
