Fabulous February.

Gosh, I typed out the whole lot of words in this entry and I could not publish it! Got to retype it all out now.

Anyhow... I finally watched finish the entire remake of the huan zhu ge ge ("hzgg"). I believe out of all my friends I am the only one who love hzgg this much. Even rewatched the original hzgg like 3 or 4 times~ So I kinda know the story inside out! I guess that made me thought the beginning of the remake version was a tad draggy as I knew more or less what will happen.

Nevertheless, the show is recommended to those who like the original version of hzgg~! The remake has a lot more funny scenes and it has a modern twist to it. For instance, there is soccer game, chocolate drink and even violin playing! These are due to the fact that Ban Jie Min ("BJM") was included in this version~ =)

BJM is acted by a american actor, Benjamin, who is interested in the chinese culture and he self taught chinese to himself!! Mind you, none of his parents are chinese. BJM role came about when Qiong Yao saw Benjamin in a Taiwan singing competition and decided to create a role for him. In the story, BJM was Yong Qi's (i.e. 5th prince) love rival.. BJM loved Xiao Yan Zi ("xyz") unconditionally. BJM was the palace artist whose job was to draw portraits of people or places for the emperor.

The remake version injected more sadness too~ the parting scenes were heart wrenching!! But I wish there were more to the ending.. even the ending was a little sad.. But the show reminded me how long ago, without handphones, without telephones, without the internet and even without post man, it was so difficult to part with one another!! once part, one will never know when will be the next time you can see the person again. Hence in a way, once part is part forever that kind of feeling =(

Before watching the show, I had my doubts on it cause I was a die hard fan of the original version. After watching, I prefer the remake version story line =X It felt more realistic ba.. But both original and remake version will always have a place in my favourite show list =))

Back to reality!!

Met up with Serene and Bernadine on 25 Feb 2012 and we went to marina barrage to fly kite. We didn't manage to get the kite to fly for long as after trying so long and when finally flew, it kept getting stuck to other kites! =( but nevertheless, the process of getting the kite to fly was definitely an experience!! =D Made a new friend too! Le.. Will be meeting them again soon to celebrate Serene's birthday.

On 28 Feb 2012, met up with Poh Eng~ =) Went around Tanjong Pagar area to hunt for a dinner place. After walking for quite a while, we settled at a Jap place. The food was not too bad.. We did a lot of catching up there~ that is the beauty of not having to rush through dinner to let others have a chance to sit. =X

After dinner, we went to hunt for dessert. Just when we were about to give up, we chance upon Antionette!!!!!! We hurried in and ordered the cakes and macaroon... and got busy taking pictures =D Aiya, Poh Eng, we should have taken pictures together too~! Next time! We stayed there till it was the closing time. Then we walked to mrt station. haha, Not sure how we walked we ended up walking to Raffles Mrt instead of Tanjong Pagar Mrt!! It was a day where we walked a lot!! Let's do it again soon!!

Yesterday, headed to library on my own. It felt so good to step into the library and search for interesting articles in magazines =D I wonder what will ever happen if there is no more library... I hope that day will not happen!!!

Sian... Tomorrow is the start of another week!! =( and I got to wake up super early tomorrow due to my company's budget seminar! ahhh~ But thankfully I am on leave from thur to the next monday!! That will be what I am looking forward too~!
