Celebrations in June~
We received the above wedding invitation somewhere in May. Never seen much wedding invitations before but I thought that their was the prettiest I have seen thus far. Very classy but I'm sure for the amount of money they are paying, that should be expected. The solemnization ceremony and dinner are held at Fullerton Hotel.
The long awaited day finally arrived. In the morning my family and I went for the solemnization ceremony. It's the first time I'm attending one =) I shall let the pictures do the talking. The pictures are not all good as I was quite a distance from the stage..
The weather was insanely hot!! My sweet dear daddy gave some shelter for my mummy.. =)
Exchange of rings
You may kiss the bride.. The best I could take as I sat at the last row.
With that, the solemnization ceremony ended. My parents had to run some errand in town, then we had lunch and headed home for a rest.

Soon it was time to start preparation for the dinner itself! =)
The ballroom. Love the chandeliers! Though it can't be seen clearly from the picture. My cousin said she personally designed the stage to be like tt.
This huge golden plate was to place our plates filled with the dishes on top. In this hotel, the food is pre-divided for the guest! This concept is good cos I'm sure as guest, everyone feels embarrased to take more portions or there might be some who take more and others gets too little to eat~
Through out the day, there were many corners where people could write their well wishes to the couples and clip it up. Even at the tables, there were papers and pen for the guest. This was at the back of the ballroom. Love the vintage pictures cards.
These two are the emcees, the one on the right is my cousin. Him, the bride and another cousin grew up together! The other cousin is one of her sisters, didn't manage to take a picture of her though.
The above are the food~ =) Err, think I missed out a few dishes. lol~ The shark fin soup was good! but felt so guilty eating the fins =.= The other dishes were good too.
Time for pictures of the bride and groom!!
Them walking in.. I should invest in a DSLR man~ All the pictures were blur =(
Popping of champagne and pouring the champagne.
Nuptial drink. Jiao Bei Jiu. Blur picture again cos I was like at the back of the ballroom and they were in front.
At the back of the ballroom, there were two trays of free macaroons for guests to bring home!! =) By the time me and sis realised what it was, this was the only ones remaining. It's suppose to be packed into the following...
As mentioned above, there were many corners for people to write their well wishes... Here's our wishes to the couple:
Lastly, pictures of the bride and groom with their guests.. I only mentioned to get 1 picture in my camera..
Some pictures with relatives.
Of course, we couldn't go empty handed. My parents got her a necklace and I made her a card to go along with it. Hope she liked them.
To end off the wedding celebration post.. here's some random shots of the day..
My parents are always so sweet. =) My dad always holds my mum's hand. One word to describe them would be- Committed
My attempt to take a family shot together.

20 June 2012: Poh Eng's birthday celebration.
It was a simple dinner at Jerry's Grill and Bar along Ann Siang Hill. After walking along Ann Siang Hill for a while, we settled for this place. Sorry Poing, I didn't make a very good choice but I hope the company made up for it! The ambience was good, the food was only average. But I did had a great time catching up and hearing her stories about work and stuff =)
Only after dinner we realised where PS cafe at Ann Siang Hill was!! We shall head there next time =)
